Is it possible that extraterrestrials don't consider our intelligence
Intelligent enough for them to actually contact us. Like we're mere animals like how we see our dogs and such, and species like us are just common in the universe. That we won't go farther than where we are now technologically. For instance, they see that we will just render ourselves extinct through nuclear warfare.
