Marcos orders agencies to continue relief ops in quake-hit areas

President Marcos has ordered relief operations and monitoring in the earthquake-stricken areas in Mindanao. Marcos virtually met with government officials on Sunday evening, Nov. 19 (Manila time) while he was in Hawaii to order government agencies to continue the relief operations to affected families.

Seafarers rescue distressed fisherman off Pangasinan

Filipino crew members of a Hong Kong-flagged cargo vessel have rescued a distressed fisherman who was floating off Pangasinan and eating styrofoam to survive after an apparent sea mishap, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said on Sunday, Nov. 19.

MMDA to start apprehending gov't-marked vehicles using EDSA Bus Lane on Nov. 20

Starting Monday, Nov. 20, enforcers of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will apprehend government-marked vehicles that will enter the EDSA Bus Lane. MMDA Chairman Don Artes said: "We will be strictly enforcing this. If the vehicles are not in the list of the DOTR, then they would be apprehended and would be given citation tickets."

PH gov't in talks to send 5 more PH eagles to Mandai Wild Reserve in Singapore

DAVAO CITY – The national government is in talks with Singaporean environment officials to send five additional Philippines eagles to the Bird Paradise in Mandai Wild Reserve in Singapore for "conservation breeding" under another loan program, an official of the Philippine Eagle Foundation (PEF) said.
