| 'PRIVY TO THE ONGOING PROBE' | | | More than 50 active and former police officers who served under the previous administration are on the list of people being investigated by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for their role in the bloody war on drugs waged by former President Rodrigo Duterte, according to former Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV. - The Philippine National Police (PNP), however, stood firm that it would only recognize the country's justice system even as ICC investigators reportedly contacted its former and incumbent officials implicated in the drug war.
- In response to these recent developments, Sen. Bato Dela Rosa, the chief implementer of Duterte's anti-drug campaign, echoed DOJ's statement that government officials communicating with the investigators of the international tribunal are violating the government's policy of non-cooperation with the ICC.
