Bible engagement for the next generation

Tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord
SUPPORT

Dear Friend,

Today's children are more open to the Bible than we might assume. Surprisingly, research suggests over 70 percent express openness to God's Word—meaning the harvest field of the next generation could be more plentiful than we imagine. Yet there's also a challenge. The same research study indicates that less than 7 percent of these children actually engage with the Bible and even fewer do so on a weekly or daily basis (The Open Generation Vol.2, Barna, 2022).

This presents an amazing opportunity to reach these open-hearted children with the Word. So, as a ministry, we are taking up this challenge to share resources that help children engage with the Bible and connect with God.

Here in the Philippines, our prayer is to reach as many children as possible. For a start, we will be partnering with Christian Missions in the Philippines Inc. for their upcoming Kids' Camp 2024. A total of 150 children ages 7 to 11 will be participating, and we will be providing them free copies of Power Up! Kids, ODB for Kids: Matching Game, and ODB for Kids Noah's Ark Jigsaw Puzzle.

Through these materials, we hope these children will discover a more fun and engaging way to know God and grow in His Word. A small step, we know, but we're praying that this partnership will pave the way to more opportunities to engage young Filipinos with the Bible.

We are writing to ask if you share our burden to help children engage with God's Word. If so, can you help us? We welcome any support you can give, whether by donating to this project or praying along with us for these efforts.

Together, we can be a generation that fulfills the call of Psalm 78 to "tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD." This will give the next generation—and even their "yet-to-be-born children"—the chance to "put their trust in God" (Psalm 78:4-7).

Yours in Christ,
