Although saying he was confident that the government has a strong case to counter the petition for certiorari and prohibition against the 2025 General Appropriations Act (GAA), Marcos warned that there was no Plan B if the Supreme Court strikes it down as unconstitutional, stating they would "shut down everything." - Marcos reiterated that there are no missing items in the signed GAA, saying he had read all 4,057 pages last December before signing it. "Because I reviewed it, analyzed it, and yes—in parts, vetoed it. And so, for those of you, and up to now, I cannot find those damned blank items," he said.
- But for Davao del Norte 1st District Rep. Pantaleon Alvarez, the presence of blank items in the bicameral conference committee's version of the then-proposed budget for 2025 is tantamount to a crime.
