VP Duterte says she's not pursuing ₱500-M confidential fund request

Vice President Sara Duterte is no longer asking Congress to grant its proposed ₱500-million confidential funds for 2024 because the issue has been "divisive."

In a statement sent to the media on Thursday, Nov. 9, the official noted the Office of the Vice President (OVP) can only propose a budget that would support the "safe implementation" of their programs and activities that aim "to alleviate poverty and promote the general welfare of every Filipino family."

16 PH universities rank in 2024 QS Asia University Rankings

Ten Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and six State Colleges and Universities (SUCs) were on the list of the 2024 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Asia University Rankings. Based on results released by QS on Nov. 8, a total of 16 universities in the Philippines were among 856 institutions from 25 countries and territories that made it to the roster.
